A Lucknow dairy family, and the ghee it makes

Where it began

Our grandfather was a first-generation dairy entrepreneur. The farm he built has fed our family for generations, and it is still where all KUMUD milk comes from.

Why KUMUD

Yuvraj Yadav, who comes from this farming family, started KUMUD to bring the farm’s milk straight to Lucknow homes under one honest name. We keep batches small so each jar gets proper attention.

What we promise

We tell you how the ghee is made: with the cream-based method, from our own buffalo milk. We put a batch number on every jar. If you have a question about the farm or the ghee, we answer it.

The name

Kumud is a Sanskrit word for the lotus. It reflects the quality we want in every jar.
